10 months already!

I can hardly believe that Ethan is 10 months old already today! Time sure flies! He is growing so big so fast! It seems like he is doing new things every day. I am so thankful that I can be home with him to watch him grow and develop every day.

He started saying "Ma-ma" finally this week! Sometimes it comes out as "Na-na" because he sticks his tongue out when he says it. He also says "Da-da," and "Ba-ba". He is quite a talker. He is quite vocal and usually lets you know what he's thinking. He is all boy with his grunts and groans though.
(This is a picture of Ethan in between my changing him. The mail lady came to the door just after I stripped him and was putting dry clothes on him. I just love his baby rolls though! Isn't he so cute!)
Ethan's newest feat is beginning to walk. He sometimes takes 8-10 steps between Mommy & Daddy. He is so proud of himself (and of course Mommy & Daddy are so proud of him)! He turns right around and goes back for more. He waves his arms and huffs and puffs as he walks. He is pretty tough, as long as Spencer stays out of the way. (If Spencer bounces into him, he'll whine at him - but not for too long.)

(This is Ethan's signature pose. He army crawls and then rolls over to his side, just to check out what's going on behind him.)

Ethan weighs about 24 pounds and has 4 teeth (the last 2 of which just broke through last week). He is still content army crawling all over the place. He does get up on all fours and rocks back and forth occassionally, but when he wants to get somewhere, he just drops back to the ground and makes a dash for it.
Ethan loves reading books. He even turns the pages by himself - which sometimes makes for a quick read.
He is a good eater - obviously. But we're still working on eating "big boy" foods. Just last night, he managed to gum a couple of crumbs of those baby fruit puffs, but not without the cringed look on his face. He also tried some Jello and real applesauce recently. (He used to cringe even with the texture of the real applesauce.) He also finally drank some juice out of his sippy cup this week.
Ethan loves emptying his bucket of toys all over the floor. Even then, his toys usually are not enough. If he sees Spencer's toys or bones, he usually goes for those instead.

He loves playing with Spencer though! He goes after him and Spencer plays right back - nicely, of course. These two will be so cute when they can actually play together.
Well I guess that is enough for now. Thanks again for your prayers for us! We are all doing quite well and truly enjoying our blessing in Ethan James!
