Memorial Day pics...

Well, life with 2 boys is definitely BUSY!! I'm sure you realize that since I have not updated my blog in 2 months! I must confess, I do use Facebook more than Blog now for my updates. It is much faster and easier, so to see more up to date pics and more often you'll have to check our wall on FB.
For Memorial Day weekend, we got away for a 4 day weekend, and we went to my Grandparents cabin on the East side of the state. My grandparents were there, my parents, Bart and I, Ethan and Evan, my sister and her family, and two of my Aunts & Uncles (at different times). It was nice to see everyone. My Aunts & Uncles had not seen Evan yet and he is 5 months old!
Here is another 4 Generation picture. Evan was sleeping, I think.
Ethan is almost 26 months old. He is VERY BUSY! He is SO SMART! He is learning SO quickly these days! He knows all of his letters by recognition, he can count to 5 (when he wants to ;-) ), he knows all of his colors and shapes. He loves music, jumping, dancing, moving. He loves to play ball: basketball, soccer, any kind of ball. He's just getting into "baseball" now that we can play outside a little bit. He loves to read books, color, and "write his name". (Well he just scribbles, while we write his name for him.) He makes us laugh (and scream probably at times), but we LOVE him dearly! We just pray for patience as we continue to train him that he will grow to love the Lord. I'm sure with all of his energy he will do GREAT things for the lord!

Evan is 5 months old already! I can hardly believe it. He weighs about 18 pounds and loves to eat cereal! (But he still will NOT take a bottle, stubborn boy!) He loves to JUMP in his Jumperoo, just like Ethan did when he was little. He just goes and goes! It sure keeps him busy though. He is a strong little guy too. He chews and drools like crazy. We're waiting for those first teeth to begin to make their way in. Ethan was 6 months old when his first 2 popped through. We'll see how quickly Evan will get his. He is a joy to us also and we thank him for our little sweetheart! He looks JUST like his Daddy did when he was little too! He's going to keep those baby blue eyes, I'm sure, unless they turn gorgeous green, like Daddy's.

2 year & 3 month pics...

We took the boys in to get their pictures taken this week. Evan is 3 months old already, and Ethan will be 2 years old next week. (This was the second attempt. The first time (we went to Wal-Mart), we left the studio, because they weren't cooperating, they didn't have the right color background, and frankly we weren't pleased with the studio itself.) We ended up taking them to Sears again. I think they turned out pretty well.

First Walk of the Season...

We enjoyed our first walk outside of the season, all 5 of us together (including Spencer). It finally hit 60 degrees today. What a BEAUTIFUL day it was!

Using our new Double Sit-n-Stand Stroller. It maneuvers SO nicely!
(You can see we still have some snow piles in the background, but it IS melting, finally.)

Visiting with Great Gpa & Gma...

Saturday we headed to GR so Bart could attend the Church Ministries Conference. The kids and I tagged along so we could go visit with my Grandparents and my parents. My grandparents had not seen Evan yet.

We arrived around 9:00 AM, just in time for pancakes, YUM! :-)
Thanks for the wonderful visit, Grandma & Grandpa!

A month's worth of updates...

So, being a Mom of two boys, definitely keeps me busy! As you may have noticed, I have not had time to update in over a month. So here it is in several snapshots, some picts of our boys getting bigger and doing more...

Evan has the cutest smile that can melt your heart!
Cooing and talking to Mommy

One of Ethan's new "favorite" corners of the house.... his "Time Out" corner.

Brother time
Ethan, watching for the trucks out his bedroom window

Ethan LOVES to help in the kitchen! He has to be "UP" whenever I'm doing anything.

Are they brothers or what?? Check out that identical expression! LOL

Grandma & Evan snuggle time.

Evan, what a sweetheart, and a CUTIE!

So expressive, just like his brother!
I LOVE THIS PIC! Check out both of their big gorgeous eyes!

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Daddy?"

Daddy & Evan having some talk time.

Bart & Ethan going out to play in the snow Tuesday, March 10th. Yes we got MORE snow!

Ethan & Spencer playing outside in the snow!

Bart riding John Pike's snowmobile on the property.

Ethan is reading letters ALREADY! He can identify over half of the alphabet in books, and on other things, like Juice cartons. He's pointing out the letter "O" here. He's SO SMART!

Finally, Ethan learning to undress himself.

I guess that's our "life" here in several snapshots! Busy, Busy, BUSY, but surviving!
